Fire and Named Perils
The fire and perils policy is usually purchased to provide protection for premises and the contents of premises used for business or offices.
The fire insurance policy provides coverage for property, which is damaged or destroyed as a result of specified, named perils. These are:
- Fire and Lightning
- Explosion
- Earthquakes and Volcanic Eruption
- Hurricanes
- Flood
- Riot Strike and Malicious Damage
- Bursting and overflowing of water tank and apparatus
- Aircraft and other aerial devices
- Policies, which provide cover for the peril of fire and lightning, only are also available.
