The fire and perils policy is usually purchased to provide protection for premises and the contents of premises used for business or offices.
The fire insurance policy provides coverage for property, which is damaged or destroyed as a result of specified, named perils. These are:
- Fire and Lightning
- Explosion
- Earthquakes and Volcanic Eruption
- Hurricanes
- Flood
- Riot Strike and Malicious Damage
- Bursting and overflowing of water tank and apparatus
- Aircraft and other aerial devices
Policies, which provide cover for the peril of fire and lightning, only are also available.
Building under construction:
The protection offered under this policy is against loss of damage as stated in the Fire and Perils Insurance above. The policy provides cover for the value of the work completed at the time of a loss caused by one of the named perils.
